After a much needed (but tiring) bike ride in the Cowichan area, we went over to The Cow Restaurant for some rewarding calories. Walking in, it was quiet, and we were informed they unfortunately couldn't serve any alcohol since their system was being upgraded, but promised delicious food. So we stayed! And I am so glad we did I got the Baja bowl (16), which comes with shrimp and guacamole atop crispy delicious hash browns, creamy scrambled eggs, and hollandaise sauce. Amazing stuff! It did get a bit rich after about half, would've been nice to have a bit of acidity like hot sauce or Kimchi in the dish, but I was too stuffed by then! @added4u got their special burger (forgot the name, sorry!) but it was part of their burger month special. It was basically a double BigMac, but healthier, fancier, and so satisfying after a long bike ride Service was friendly and efficient, she checked our vaccine passports and ID promptly before we were allowed to sit anywhere. Spacious and bright inside with such amazing food, I'm surprised it's not more jam packed!
Amazing food and great staff! Perfect place to bring the family for breakfast, lunch, & dinner. Best burgers in town by a mile!!!
The Cow Restaurant is an absolute culinary gem that deserves nothing less than a stellar 5-star rating. The highlights included friendly, informative staff that went above and beyond to give us tips about our vacation on the island and a unique menu that showed the staff had a creative and passionate mind.Genuinely some of the best food we’ve ever had! Specifically the Cookie Monster Cheesecake (made in-house).We’ll definitely be dreaming about this food when we return to Ontario!
This place was amazing! We were cycling around Vancouver island and this place came on our radar as spent the day in Lake Cowichan. The prime rib poutine was to die for!
Service was amazing.. our waitress was so lovely, we came on a long weekend and it was so quiet, so peaceful. Food was wonderful! The restaurant atmosphere was so rustic and comfy, the Corona salt and paper was a cute country touch. The Crab meat mushroom caps are my new personal favourite! Can’t wait to come back!
This is a hidden gem. Nestled in between Tim Hortons and the Riverside Inn. The food was phenomenal and our server, Laura was awesome. Definitely coming back for the Krabby Patty Sliders on Thursday.
The Cow! What a beautiful little spot. I love the comfortable setting, it is just right. Caesars are exactly how they should be, if you like them as much as i do you should try one. Cowichan Koolaid is also delicious. I had the Fajita salad with prawns and it didnt disappoint. Great place. Thank you!
